Hi, I'm Kellie and my quilting journey started in Salt Lake City, where my good friend, Brooke Shankland of Eudaimonia Studio, taught me how to quilt in 2020. I remember that first project—the excitement of choosing fabrics, the anticipation of seeing the design come together. I was hooked.

But I also remember being slightly overwhelmed. If I didn't have Brooke, I would have been lost as to how to find patterns that matched my aesthetic. Then came the hunt for fabric—at the time, searching endlessly online (thanks 2020) hoping they'd have what I needed and then hoping what I picked would coordinate. Once I finally had everything gathered, I'd spend hours starching and pre-cutting before I could even get to the fun part: sewing the quilt top together.

And just when I thought I was done? The real logistics kicked in. Where do I find a longarm quilter? How much will it cost? How long will it take to get my quilt back? I'd finally finish piecing, only to hit a wall I had no control over.

At the time, I didn't think too much about it past, "that's just the way it is." But when we moved to a new city, I found myself back at square one, hunting for a longarm quilter all over again—and I realized how many quilters must be stuck in that same spot, with a finished top and nowhere to send it.

So I decided to become that person myself. I invested in my own longarm machine and learned the craft of quilting —not just for my own quilts, but so I could be the reliable, easy-to-find longarm quilter I once went searching for.

That's the heart of Stitch & Send: you piece it, I finish it. Mail me your quilt top, and I'll handle the quilting - so you get another quilt checked off your to do list.

And because I know how much of a hurdle it can be just to get started—especially now, as a mother juggling a hobby I love with a lot less free time—I also offer quilt kits with precut, starched fabric, so new and experienced quilters alike can skip the fabric hunt and get straight to sewing. Piece it yourself, or add finishing when you're ready. Either way, you're covered start to finish.

I believe quilting should be accessible, inviting, and—most importantly—finishable. Whether you're a busy parent like me, someone new to quilting, or an experienced quilter who just wants to spend more time creating and less time coordinating, I'm here to make this craft easier and more enjoyable.

Because at the end of the day, you deserve to finish that quilt.
